great healthier alternative for bolder colours

I’ve been using Hibiscus almost consistently for 7-8 months now and I’m obsessed. I’m still on my original bottle. I see a lot of reviews saying the colour doesn’t work - I have bleached hair (bleached to medium blonde) and it turned my hair a pretty shade of pink. Debating to mix rose gold with it to see how it turns out. First - you NEED to wear gloves, just like any other colour depositing mask. Second - 7-8 mins I find is only good for touch ups, after you’ve already applied it. If I don’t use it for a month then I usually leave it on for 20-30 mins to get a richer colour. Third - wear a shower cap. I find it works much better (like any conditioning treatment) if you let it sit in a cap. Also keeps your clothes and shoulders dye-free. I’ve used Arctic Fox Frose as an alternative to this and I can say Moroccanoil lasted muuuuch longer and looked better.

Works well, you need a lot to make sure to color the hair evenly. I have really light blonde hair and this works great. I’ve tried the platinum color and didn’t notice anything. I’m excited to try other colors!

this came out way too dark and made me look like a clown!! will definitely be using the pastel version next time

It deposits a good amount of color and looks very bright. It washes off fairly quickly but it’s quick and easy to reapply.

fun but ruined hair

fun color on blonde hair!! but dries out my hair like crazy. just completely destroyed the thickness of my hair. you can use once in a while, but definitely not more than twice a month or it’ll lead to a lot of breakage.

I have unprocessed Asian hair that's starting to get some grey growth at the crown. I bought this to dye my greys pink because I don't want to cover them with my natural colour and then resign myself to having to race to cover them every few weeks (besides which, grey growth on black hair makes it look like you have floating hair, which doesn't look nice, and I don't want to have to deal with a demarcation line one day when I just let the greys grow). This did the job! I actually started with Joico Color Intensity for my first two times, and while it was hard at first, my greys eventually took the colour. By the time I moved onto this, it took the pink well and took on a sort of jewel-toned (like tourmaline) pinkish hue, which I liked against my still mostly-black hair. My black hair also took on a beautiful pinkish sheen that you could see when the sun and certain kinds of light hit it - I loved it. I didn't like how strong the scent was, but it was ok. I found that it started fading after about 10 washes but it still looked quite pink. I will stick with this!

Rose Gold Works!

Im not sure why there is so much hate for the rose gold depositing mask! It’s amazing! I bleached part of my bangs and then applied, waited 7 minutes and it turned out amazing! I honestly can’t wait for it to fade so it becomes more of that rose gold colour!

Fun and easy to use.

I love this stuff. I spent 3 hours in the salon getting "rose gold" highlights that you could barely see. it was my hairdresser who recommended this product. I bout the rose gold and the hibiscus; mixed just a dollup of hibiscus to the rose gold and voila! I have the hair color/highlights I wanted. I would caution, though that while this is not permanate, it does take several washes to come out. So if it's not longevity you want, user beware. :)

I have been using this for months and I can't say enough good things about it. I love the colour and how it makes my hair feel. It lasts a lot longer than I thought it would and my hair always feels great.

VIBRANT COLOR

Beautiful color. Left on for 8 minutes. The pink will stain the sink, so be careful. Bleach will get stains out of sink. Hair is soft and vibrant!

Very cute, I only left it on for four minutes so it wouldn't take so long to wash out. It seemed like it'd stain my palms but it did wash out during the shower. Next time I need to section because I missed a lot of spots, especially near the roots.

Pretty colour Pink & washes out easy

If you think it’s a permanent or vivid colour you will be disappointed but if you expect a washed out hue for a week or so then you will be happy. I like the look and it’s so temporary I am so happy this was invented and at Sephora. I added some white conditioner and it made it a perfect pale pink.
