Very clean, shiny hair

This was my second purchase of this shampoo. I really do like how clean my hair feels after use. I have left 4 stars rather than 5, because without using the conditioner to follow, my hair felt a little dry. For use with the conditioner it is 5 stars.

Made my healthy hair extremely dry & tangled

I had high hopes for this shampoo, as it had been recommended by my hair stylist for color preservation (which I struggle with) and has a lot of hype around it. I thought this would be a gentle, daily shampoo, but it was more like a clarifying shampoo on steroids! Thankfully I had only purchased a mini size to try it out first. Unfortunately, this product completely dried out and stripped my thick hair, and my hair is healthy and not dry! It was so stripped that it became an insane tangled mess when wet in the shower, which has never happened to me before. My hair felt like straw after and I had to use a few conditioning masks and a bonding treatment that week to fix it. I know others really like this product, but it wasn't for me. It would make a really good clarifying shampoo for color treated hair if your strands can tolerate it. Proceed with caution if you try this and start with a mini size!

Wanted to love, but just didn’t work

Was recommended this as I have fine hair that’s become dry from a recent color appointment. I was expecting so much from it as I love so many other COLOR WOW products, but it did not live up to my expectations. It consistently dried my hair out and looked horrible after two washes. Hair looked so frizzy and dry which is exactly what I was trying to avoid.

Smells good but doesn’t stop greasy hair

I wash my hair every other day and usually by the end of day 2 it’s slightly greasy. I thought this would give me longer between washes but found it to be no different to any other shampoo

Great shampoo for coloured hair

I bought the trial size to try it out and am impressed with how this leaves my hair soft and manageable whilst also protecting the colour.

Lots of scalp residue

I was looking forward to using this as I was sold at the fact it’s colour safe and leaves no residue, however after a couple of uses I’m noticing I’m getting lots of sebum build up despite correct rinsing. Really disappointed considering the description emphasises no residue!

Absolute game changer

Im an overprocessed blonde with extensions from almost black roots and fine hair, experienced hair loss from surgery a year ago. I’ve been trying to find a hydrating shampoo to bring my broken, dull hair back to life without having to go back to my natural color. I did the 4 washes of k18 and it helped soften my hair, but not fully to where I want to be.. I buy SO many hair products- all different kinds. Let me tell you this shampoo/conditioner has saved my hair. It’s so shiny and soft and frizz free after just 3 washes! I live in Florida and it’s currently 80% humidity, I am telling everybody about this! I’m honestly not even a huge fan of the Dreamcoat, but this system right here!! My hair in this photo is two days old after driving in a convertible and sleeping with no hair tie

Irritating to scalp

Shampoo itself (lather, smell, etc) was fine, but it caused an allergic reaction on my scalp, which turned red and itched horribly. I washed with it 2x, but used different products in between to confirm for sure that was in fact this shampoo causing the issue. I’ve never had a reaction to any other type of shampoo and I try a lot of different product. It contains an ingredient, propylene glycol, which is known to be irritating for some people.

I have noticed a difference when using this shampoo versus other color safe moisturizing shampoos. It hasn’t given me problems with my color and it definitely has helped with oiliness in between washes.

Best cleaning combo

I have fine hair that breaks and tangles easily. I’ve struggled to find a shampoo and conditioner combo that left my hair soft and manageable... until Color Wow. I can honestly say this stuff is the best shampoo and conditioner I’ve ever used. My hair is so soft and shiny. Split ends looks much smoother and my hair doesn’t tangle as easily, because it’s like silk! Highly recommend.
