Nice hydration, but scent isn't as expected :/

For anyone interested in how the Matcha scent is here is an honest review. As a matcha lover I was very excited to try this lip balm! The texture wasn't too sticky and felt hydrating for quite a while (about 2hrs after use) and so I was impressed by that. The reason is only got 3 stars is because the scent wasn't as impressive. It doesn't smell like matcha, but instead jasmine green tea. While the scent was nice and I enjoy jasmine green tea, I was more excited at the prospect of a matcha scented product. Disappointed it is not matcha, it should have just been advertised as a green tea scent instead of specifically matcha. If you enjoy the scent of jasmine green tea (the typical tea served at most asian restaurants) then you'll love this, but if you're like me and wanted matcha specifically then you won't like it as much.

Some of the flavors are gross, some are fantastic

I have the candy cane flavor that was available around Christmas and absolutely love it. I've since bough the Gummy Bear, Taro Bubble Tea and Matcha Bubble Tea and find them to be gross. The Gummy Bear and Matcha are so heavily perfumed and fake that I just can't use them. Aside from the flavor, I like the texture and how well it hydrates my lips.

For The Matcha Girlies! 🧋🍵

I saw a lot of reviews saying this doesn’t smell like matcha but I’d have to disagree! I’m a matcha fanatic, and personally it smells exactly like a matcha bubble tea latte!! It has that rich earthy matcha note but that sweet slightly floral note is also there too. Laneige has a great lip balm formula as always.

Hydrating, non-sticky gloss

Obsessed with these balm/glosses. The scents and flavors are a bit strong for me though - I only like the vanilla and berry. I wish they would make an unscented or mint crystal clear version. That would be my HG!!

Gummy bear is giving more grape

This review is for the gummy bear flavour not the berry. Really nice lipgloss but as other reviews have noted is more a grape scent/flavor then gummy bear.

The hype and PR for these products was unreal. But for the Matcha + Taro Bubble Tea flavors - they totally missed the mark. Such an annoying, cloying sythentic tea scent. I cannot stand it on my lips. Reminds me of those boba shops that give you powder instead of real tea.

Almost Matcha

I love matcha and Laneige so I was really excited to get my hands on the matcha bubble tea scent. The formula is amazing and I love the packaging, sadly I’m not getting ‘matcha’ from the scent. It reminds me more of jasmine tea than matcha. I still plan on using it up since I don’t mind the scent but I’ll probably opt for another scent when repurchasing!

Love this balm!

I started with the Vanilla scent and then recently got the Taro Bubble Tea scent. It smells nice and the formula is so smoothing on the lips. Not super sticky and lasts a good while. It heals any dryness.

Pretty Color, Smells Bad

Okay sooo to be completely honest I ONLY bought this lip balm because of the color, and i’m not disappointed with it because it’s a very pretty color but, the smell is not pleasing

not my favorite scent

I was very excited for the matcha bubble tea flavor to come out. But it was not very matcha but more bubble tea, it's also too sweet for my liking and I feel like I can taste it in the back of my throat. Not the best feeling. Would't repurchase
