Impressive hair oil!

For a silicone-based oil it's surprisingly lightweight, and absorbs really well (no leftover residue on hands after running it through hair thoroughly, which impressed me). Definitely give it a try!

Lightweight and smells like heaven

I used Amika’s Blockade heat protectant for years and it was all I used for heat styling. Smelled so good, no crunchy/sticky feeling, and kept my hair safe from breakage. They have discontinued it sadly so I picked this up instead. I keep another oil on hand for hydration (this isn’t enough for me on its own) and I use this strictly before heat tools. It’s a yes from me! This leaves a nice shine at the same time as being light enough to use multiple times a week, which I can’t say I could do with the Blockade… it was a little too heavy for that. I love this and will continue to purchase 😊

Disappointed – Heavy, Greasy, and Not Effective

I’ve been using this oil for about a month now, and unfortunately, it has been a total letdown for my hair type. Instead of the smooth, hydrated finish I was hoping for, it consistently leaves my hair feeling greasy and weighed down. What’s even more frustrating is that despite the heavy feel, it doesn't actually seem to control my hair—it still frizzes up throughout the day. I haven't noticed any real protection against damage or split ends after four weeks of consistent use. I recently went to see my hair stylist, and they immediately noticed a negative change. They pointed out that my hair actually feels like it has lost its natural moisture and looks dull. They also highlighted that the ingredients list isn't as clean as I initially thought, which explains why it’s sitting on top of my hair rather than absorbing. I wouldn't recommend this if you're looking for a lightweight, clean, or truly protective hair product.

Hair is soooo soft when I use this before blowdrying. Smells amazing too and doesn’t weigh my hair down at all. Very happy I purchased

Mid hair oil

I have low porosity hair and wanted a hair oil that didn’t weigh my hair down. I wanted an oil that gives my hair a healthy shine and tames the frizz. This product did not do anything for my hair.

Smells good but that’s it

Not very good for frizz at all, smells wonderful but I haven’t seen any changes and it’s kinda heavy

Packaging not very good.

I was excited to try out this oil, when I opened the box, the oil was leaking and the top was not twisted on all the way. I still tried to oil, it made my hair sleek and soft but gave a 3 star because of the packaging and all the waste.

Absolutely love! It smells amazing and make my hair super silky afterwards! It’s not heavy so it also doesn’t weigh your hair down.

Not light weight at all… I have fine bleach blonde hair and it made my hair sticky. Also the packaging is leaky.

Soft and shiny hair!

Lightweight oil that leaves my hair so soft and shiny (without looking oily!!) It is also extremely versatile as a hair oil; highly recommended!

Got me greedy

The best hair oil. My mom came to visit me and used the last of my bottle and I gave her some attitude “you used up my goood hair oil?” She deserves a whole bottle, truly, but I’s shamed this stuff turned me greedy! Overall though for how good it is, the size and price is reasonable. I’m in my 40’s and noticed the ends of my hair and texture is changing (dry frizzy ends).I also have oily roots so it’s hard to fine balancing products This helps the ends look smooth, shiny healthy and nourished without making everything else oily. It says it’s a heat protector but I primarily use it on ends when I’ve washed hair/ blow dried or I am on day two hair.

amika is the best when it comes to hair products!! This oil is so GOOD!!! It makes my hair so soft and shiny without making it look oily. I love that 💕💕
