Loved but now just ok

I noticed after a few bottles it’s leaving residue in my scalp and my scalp is back to feeling dry and itchy. Only washing 3x weekly because I workout pretty heavily

Ultra Soothing Shampoo For Sure!

I have scalp issues that cause extreme itching. One is that I am allergic to Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS, SLES). The doctor gave me a Shampoo prescription that made it worse. After reading the ingredients, I discovered it contained, (SLS). Ugh! One of the clerks at Ulta, suggested several shampoos, one being, Briogeo. Be Gentle, Be Kind, Aloe + Oat Milk. I had actually read about this shampoo on-line, and was interested in it, so i purchased it and the conditioner. Since I really didn't expect any difference after all the shampoos I've tried, over the years, and years, I kind of forgot about it. After a few weeks, it dawned on me that my head wasn't itching! Oh, be real, I had a light itch here and there, but nothing like i had before.Thanks Briogeo! It only took me years to find you! Never leave me! Yes, I agree, the pump doesn't work well. Mine goes down, sticks a while, and finally pops back up! Oh darn! Love the conditioner. Leave it in for 2 minutes and rinse well. I actually like to rub the shampoo in well and leave it in a couple minutes, too.

Good & Not so good

While this shampoo is helping heal my scalp issues, I can’t use it without the conditioner because it’s so stripping. But, when I do use it with conditioner, my hair is very healthy looking and easier to style.

Great product

This shampoo cleans my hair well through the third day and even more if I wanted. My hair doesn’t get oily anymore. I like this product

I actually purchased this one on a whim, but it turned out better than I thought! It's super gentle, which is great for my thin hair and especially for those with a sensitive scalp. A little goes a long way with this one! It moisturizes my hair really well. I would definitely repurchase!

Sensitive scalp

With aloe and oats, this really helps my sensitive scalp. This makes my hair silky, is hydrating, but not overly hydrating. Overly hydrating makes your hair very conditioned but also weighs it down, so it is flatter. This shampoo does not weight your hair down.

OK for allergies

I have a lot of allergies and this shampoo does not bother it.

Saved my skin!

I have eczema and a long list of skin sensitivities: shea butter, sulfate, hyaluronic acid, fragrance, coconut, parabens, dyes etc. this and Vanicream products saved my skin and hair! I hope they start selling the travel size version ASAP. I’ve been using this for 3 years now. Worth every penny. You may need a clarifying shampoo 1-2 times a month in between as well or 2 rounds of shampooing as it is a very gentle formula. Works best with a scalp brush.

Be warned: not hypoallergenic. Triggered an eczema flareup.

As other reviewers have noted, the formula contains a common trigger for allergic skin reactions. I suffer from severe chronic eczema and have quite a sensitivity to fragrances and other common allergens. After one use, I've flared horribly on my scalp, around my hairline, and on the back of my neck. I'm so itchy and covered in eczema patches AND sores. Returning stat. Really sad and disappointed.

First of all, I love this whole line! I deal with very sensitive skin, and I have to be very careful about fragrance because I get really bad migraines, and this line has been perfect for me. My scalp feels so much better and isn’t as itchy as it used to be, and I have to thank this line for that. The shampoo itself lathers really well in my opinion and gives me a nice clean feeling, without feeling dry or stripped. Please never discontinue this line, because it has been a lifesaver, and even my husband really likes it!

Good, but could be better.

I love what this shampoo does to my hair. 10/10 What I DON'T love: 1) The pump. It often has to be forced back up. Really distracts from the experience. 2) It's so watery. It takes me 6-7 pumps on average to feel like I'm really getting my scalp clean, and I make sure to apply directly to scalp. I could overlook this, except... 3) The size. The bottles are PUNY! And because of how much I have to use, I blow through them. It feels wasteful, and at this rate if they don't release larger sizes I will look to another brand for fragrance free shampoo.
