this is such a great idea to try a new product line without committing to paying full price on the full size. i have very frizzy curls and this tamed my frizz and defined my curls. my mom also tried the samples, and she has thin straight fine hair, and it made her hair sooo smooth. i love the spray for all day conditioning

Texture hair friendly

After using this product I was so happy I gave this line a try. For background my hair texture is fine, thick and super wavy. I often struggle with frizz and breakage but with regular trims breakage has stopped and using everything in this kit I’ve definitely seen my hair having more moisture that I lack.

My hair looks more voluminous. 100% recommended, makes my hair look shiny.

Not for me…

After using this shampoo and conditioner, my hair is severely dry, greasy on top almost like a film… and the best part of all - my hair is coming out in clumps now. Do not recommend. The other 2 products in the set were find.

Mixed outcomes, dream routine is the best one

I have medium coarse hair that’s mostly straight, some parts are slightly wavy. I used the 4 products in conjunction with each other and also mix med and matched with other products to see how they’d perform. I found the shampoo to be a gentle and moisturizing cleanse like my hair felt softer in the shower already. But then when I use the conditioner over that, it becomes stiff and dry. I used the shampoo with other non amika conditioners and it’s ok, doesn’t feel dried out. The conditioner used with other shampoos still makes my hair stiff and dried out…the leave in hydro rush conditioner also left my hair awful. I don’t know why. I used it on damp hair and left to air dry. My hair dried to a stiff and super coarse texture with this. It felt much worse than before. My hair has not been dyed or bleached but I have accumulated some heat damage, not a ton. The dream routine is legit tho. Like I put it on dry hair and it instantly transformed it into softness. It just felt so unbelievably smooth. The shampoo is not terrible, I probably wouldn’t buy a full size… if it was a freebie sample I’d take it, 3/4 out of 5 stars bc it did what it said it would but not the greatest. The leave-in is 2/5 stars for me. Maybe it would work for someone else’s hair. The conditioner also left my scalp flaky with buildup within 2 days…so that’s 1/5…Dream routine is a solid 5/5 and I will be repurchasing that separately. I am glad I got a small amount of everything to try in this kit. It was a decent price and good amount of product to try out the hydro rush line.

Dry straw like hair

I’m half black with long very fine curly hair. My hair breaks/ splits easily & faster than it can grow normally from heat. I’m trying to grow it longer so thought I’d get a good haircut & leave it curly for 6 months. I’ve been leaving a cheap tresemme rich moisture conditioner in my hair after showering & it leaves my hair soft gorgeous , & no frizz. I thought I’d upgrade to some expensive hydrating products. I bought the sample kit. The shampoo left my hair straw like &couldn’t even get my fingers through my hair. I put the conditioner on twice &used a hair steamer to absorb better but still seemed dry. I then rinsed &put the overnight treatment which didn’t seem to do anything either. I rinsed next morning & put the leave in conditioner &still couldn’t get a brush through my hair. I left it to air dry &it looks ok. Frizzier than usual but still feels straw like. I wouldn’t buy again &find it super expensive Smell was ok I later rinsed it &put the tresemme back in & it was back to beautiful soft &could get brush through again. I’ll probably try another different expensive hydrating sample kit again to see if I can find something great but this was not

WHERE IS THE MOISTURE?

Fine and way hair, prone to dryness and frizz. Used this one time with the hopes of adding some moisture and the results were abysmal as my hair was left feeling more dry and extra frizzy. The products did not provide any moisture. These product are more of a grouping of clarifying products that strip your hair. If you want your hair to look and feel fried, dried and should be laid to the side hair this is the product that will get you that look and feel. Worst!

So worth it!

i tried this product and it did wonders to my hair plus it smells sooooo gooood my hair was very manageable and sooooo soft

Great conditioner!

I really liked the conditioner it made my hair feel very soft without weighing it down! I was not a big fan of the shampoo, it felt thick and gummy at the top of my head. Great lather! The leave in was okay and the overnight mask was very light weight

Not Hydrating

I’m so confused on how this is supposed to be hydrating when the second ingredient is alcohol. It dried my hair out more and made it staticky and flyaway. It does smell good though and my hair was soft.

Oily

Made my hair so oily and then I have it to a family member and made her hair so oily.
