Le Male Elixir - Parfum - Note de Lavanda, Boabe Tonka & Benzoina

Fantastic

[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] I love scents, it puts me in a good mood, so when I was selected to try the new Jean Paul Gaultier “La Male” I was super excited. I got a small sample from influenster to try for my honest review and I’m really glad I did! I’ve always held Jean Paul Gaultier in a high tier and this did not disappoint. The sweetness of the tonka bean comes on strongly with vanilla notes and the subtle hints of lavender even out the profile. It smells strongly and lasted all night so I find it good for a night out over daily use! It certainly fills a room when you walk in so also good for weddings or balls!

Redundant release

[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] This elixir smells just like jpg edp. However, my biggest gripe is that this scent seems very weak in projection for an elixir. Don’t get me wrong it has great durability and longevity but not much power, in terms of projection. I think this elixir would make a great date night fragrance for the fall months but not potent enough for winter months, making it rather redundant. Not really versatile, making it a tacky fragrance release.

Excellent and gorgeous men’s fragrance

[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] This male fragrance has a deep spicy and sophisticated vibe that’s good for both daytime and date nights. There’s an oriental vibe that gives it a little bit more depth than some of the other flankers in this line and this can be worn for special occasions that require you to smell good well also maintaining longevity.

A strong pleasant scent to some, stinkbomb to most

JPG Le Male Elixir is a strong sweet and smokey fragrance, it has the power of most of the fragrances of this house and more, it last forever on your skin and clothes (I would say like 3 days) or can still notice it after showering the next day you sprayed it on your skin. The opening has a prominent sweet honey note that dissipates to bring the benzoine and lavender and ends in a dry down of smokiness with tobacco and the vanilla. I personally loved/hated this fragrance, I normally don't like benzoine in fragrances and in this one it makes it smell like a toilet cleaner, not bad but I don't feel it pleasant. I did not know what to think about it, if it was just too sweet or not, for the mature or much more for the young crowd (leaning towards the young ones) and I got less compliments than complaints of it being a stinkbomb. It is a fragrance for fall/winter.

Amazing le male reimagined for today

[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] Wow, the honey and tobacco combination is amazing. The sweetness of the fragrance is intoxicating. This is more of an evening scent and the projection is immense and it leaves a pleasant scent cloud as you walk. I get longevity of about 7 hours on my skin

Solid scent, just not my preference

[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] I enjoyed receiving this as a sample. Personally for me I don’t think I would buy the full size bottle as it came off a little too sweet for me. You can definitely get the hints of vanilla. I didn’t get much lavender which was a plus for me but may not be of others likings. I enjoyed sampling this but I tend to stay away from sweeter scents.
