Must have gotten a bad product.
I bought one awhile back and I loved almost everything about it except for the taste. It left this awful taste on my lips that eventually spread into my mouth. I tried a few different times to make sure it was the lip balm, it was.loved everything else about it and would recommend it and buy more if it was not for the rancid taste it left in my mouth.

I was really disappointed with the Tom Ford Sunlit Rose Balm. The scent itself was pleasant and subtle, but the texture was a major issue for me. The balm felt gritty on my lips, which made it uncomfortable to wear and distracting throughout the day. It did not glide on smoothly and never fully melted into my lips the way I expect from a luxury lip balm. Unfortunately, the color was also a miss for me. The pink shade was extremely light and washed me out, even though I have a fair complexion. Instead of enhancing my natural lip color, it made my lips look pale and uneven. While it did provide some moisture initially, it didn’t make my lips look plump or noticeably hydrated, and the effect did not last long. Given the price point, I expected a more refined formula and a universally flattering shade. I would not repurchase this product or incorporate it into my daily routine. While the packaging is beautiful and it could potentially work as a gift for someone who prefers very sheer, pale lip products, it was not a good fit for me due to the gritty texture and unflattering color payoff.
