Am I Being Gaslit by the Internet?

Question: do people actually like this concealer? Because I have never felt more collectively lied to by the internet. I’ve seen endless rave reviews for the Haus Labs concealer, and since I was in the market for something new, I figured I’d give it a shot. Huge mistake. This is, without exaggeration, the worst concealer I have ever used. It is not hydrating. At all. In fact, it somehow manages to look dry and heavy at the same time, an impressive feat, honestly. The texture is thick, almost pasty, and it’s stubbornly hard to blend no matter what you use: fingers, brush, sponge, prayers. It clings to dry patches I didn’t even know existed, settles immediately into fine lines, and makes the under-eye area look older, heavier, and more tired than if I’d just… skipped concealer entirely. What really gets me is how unforgiving it is. You have about half a second of working time before it sets into a cakey, immovable mess. Layering? Forget it. One swipe too many and it starts breaking apart, emphasizing texture, and turning patchy in a way that is deeply unflattering. For a concealer that’s marketed as radiant, skin-like, and suitable for mature or dry under-eyes, this performs like the exact opposite. It wears like a full-coverage stage makeup product with none of the flexibility or comfort you’d expect at this price point. I genuinely don’t understand the hype. If you have perfectly smooth, crease-free under-eyes and love a thick, dry formula, maybe this works for you. For everyone else, save your money and your sanity. This concealer didn’t just disappoint me; it actively made my makeup look worse. Hard pass.

Not worth it-Faulty Applicators

Good concealer but the applicator breaks in the bottle or while using on your face within a few months. I emailed Haus Labs and the sent me a new concealer and the applicator broke again! I've emailed them 3 times now, each time they send me a concealer but at this point I rather buy a concealer from another brand rather than having the applicator break on me in the middle of me doing my make up. So frustrating.

A full coverage creamy dream

This is my second favourite concealer. It hasn’t quite knocked out my nine year favourite but it is so good. I own three shades, one to colour correct, a skin tone shade and a highlight shade. This concealer blends like a dream.

I’ve been using this for months, and after all this time I’ve noticed how versatile this concealer is. The shade match works on stage and in daily life, and it feels good on your skin no matter the climate. Highly recommend to anyone who needs a concealer wearable everywhere

Applicator broke after a few months

I absolutely love the formula under my eyes and around my nose since it is not drying at all and looks very natural. HOWEVER, after a few months, the applicator broke, and now I am unable to use it. I bought this product thinking they had changed the applicator, but it is incredibly flimsy, and even being gentle does not matter. The applicator is not strongly rooted enough to withstand the pulling required to get the product out of the tube.

Dry and sensitive under eye ladies!!! 🚨🚨 This is the concealer you must get! The formula and shade range are chef’s kiss! 😙👌

Unusable

Twice I have purchased this product and both times the tip of the applicator fell off. I was so gentle with the second one hoping it would hold up. I can’t get any product out and it’s a waste. Will not buy this again even though I really like the product itself.

Great formulation, trash applicator

Love this product and have repurchased but the applicator is trash. It has broken every single time I’ve repurchased it. Not sure why that hasn’t been updated given that there are 100+ other reviews commenting on the applicator

Buy it! I pair it with the foundation it’s the best finish so dewy and so smooth. 4 stars only because I wish it was a little more buildable but other than that it’s the holy grail 💋

The applicator helps if feel soothing however if not applied with the right powder it does can crease.It lasts all day however if doing excessive activities it looks patchy.
