These are some of the best cream eyeshadows I own. I'm surprised at the reviews that state that these crease, as I have oily eyelids and these stay put like nobody's business. Even with micellar water, these make me work when I take off my makeup. I do use a primer underneath as I would for any eyeshadow, and I blend them out with a brush to diffuse edges and take off excess product, so perhaps that makes a difference. Bronze makes a beautiful dark brown smokey eye.

drier than most formulas

This isn’t as bad as some cream shadows I’ve tried, but it wasn’t great either. First, the bronze is actually gray—steel gray. Next, I found the product pretty dry to blend out (the only way to do so was with my fingers, a brush wouldn’t budge it) even when you work one lid at a time. Next, the areas you’ve blended most or applied more sheerly do tend to fade a bit thru-out the day, even with a primer that has worked with everything else for me. I found it a bit odd that there was fading on such a dry product. Next, there’s not much shimmer to this and none once blended; I had hoped this would be a dupe for the new Chanel metallic flash stick but there’s not enough shimmer and Laura Mercier has too much in theirs. This formula is on par with Shiseido’s liner/ shadow sticks, it’s rather dry rather than creamy like a Nudestix and it’s even a bit drier than a Laura Mercier metallic (which are drier than the original or shimmer “intense” variety). Ultimately I think it’s still a great quick one shadow eye look and it doesn’t fade so much that it’s noticeable when my (NOT hooded or deep-set) eyes are open or even closed that much.

Worth it

It did crease just a little bit at the end of the long day, otherwise - no complaints. Will buy in different colors. Easy to blend with a dense brush.
