Solidly okay, would I pay 150 dollars for it? Probably not. Yes, it comes with a refill but each "cushion" hold such little product so unless you dont need much coverage/product, buy the foundation if you insist on La Mer foundation

A true luminous glow

I bought this as I previously had the soft fluid longwear foundation and I thought this would be a nice alternative. I cannot believe how luminous my face looks when I wear this cushion foundation. I like the light finish as there are times I don't want to go all out with a full coverage foundation. It overall gives my skin this glow that makes me look healthy and like I got the required 8 hours of sleep a night. It wears really well. It matches my skin beautifully (this seems to be incredibly hard for me) and does not settle into fine lines at all. Is this foundation, especially including the cost, for everyone? No. It does not cater the whole population and overall I do consider this a downfall. However, I cannot rate this less than 5 stars because it seems to be the only foundation that gives me a look that I have problems replicating with other foundations.

It doesn't perform commensurate to the high price. Very disappointed. Returned.

Best cushion foundation for dry skin. Doesn't emphasize pores and makes skin look luminous and flawless without any heaviness.

Nice coverage but after an hour settles into my fine lines...and I used a primer. For the price it isn’t good enough for me. I’ll pass.

Glowy coverage that lasts all day but some issues!

So I had to play around with combinations to get this to work with my skin, but it’s so worth it! Great skincare ingredients and a glowy sheer to full coverage that’s perfect for everyday. I wish they had put some more effort into the actual cushion, it has the same quality as a cushion in a $5 compact. I prefer to apply this with a beauty blender anyway. It fits perfectly dabbing the sponge in and I find that it applies the foundation more evenly than with the cushion which can be a little streaky. It results in a more lightweight and glowy finish too, but it’s so easy to build this thing up to cover any redness. The coverage is good enough that I can use a small concealer brush and conceal spots away too. Love the buildable coverage! I had to play around with technique a bit to get it right though. My usual sunscreen dimethicone heavy primer just didn’t play well and my skin looked a little dry. I switched things up to a moisturizing primer with some pore filling around my nose and it transformed this foundation. It’s worth the effort to find what works best! I find that it worked better with liquid blush and highlighter vs balms and creams, but it did work nice with the powders I have. How the foundation looks when you apply is how it’s gonna look all day, which I love! The cushion is so full of product and very even. No dipping in and one part of the cushion is dry while the other is overloaded. For the price it’s nice that you get a refill, but I really hope they start selling those separately. That’s the whole point of a cushion foundation, I don’t want to have to throw the thing away! I wish I could give a 4.5 for a few of these issues, but for the foundation itself it's worth the 5 stars!
