The Shield - Spray anti-umiditate

I love this product! I essentially use it as a leave in conditioner and heat protectant. it smells amazing and has a fine mist so it’s really easy to cover my whole head quickly. it makes my hair look shinier and healthier.

Lightweight protectant

As someone who uses heated tools on my hair regularly, I always have a bottle of heat protection in my drawer. My main criteria for the sprays are how they leave my hair feeling and how they smell. I love how light this spray applies and that it doesn’t leave my hair feeling heavy or crunchy. The smell is the classic Amika scent (iykyk) and pairs nicely with my “the Kure” shampoo. It hasn’t been particularly humid on the east coast but I’m looking forward to seeing how the frizz is maintained come this summer.

Smells great, but does not stop frizz. Especially in this FL heat and humidity. I saw no difference.

My favourite heat protectant spray which you can use on dry hair. Smells amazing, my hair feeling so silky smooth after using it.

Soo good

Mostly use on days where i need a quick silk press, love that it dosent come in a moist form.

Good protection for hot tools

I highly recommend this to anyone that wants extra protection before a hot tools. I use a liquid/spray hair protectant/conditioner before I blow-dry then spray with this before I use my hair straightener. It smells good and makes your hair very smooth and protected. Also does help the hair with humidity - I wouldn't say its 100% humidity free but does help.

Disappointed

I bought this to use if I’m using heat in between wash days. Not sure if I got a faulty bottle but it sprays out very wet… could not use it without re-drying your hair first! Which defeats the purpose for me. Unfortunately I wouldn’t repurchase due to this

Pricey but worth it

Okay, so thought this not expecting much and it really does prevent humidity - I have hair to my bum and it was so sleek and shiny, plus the really good heat protection. I will keep repurchasing this

Horrific

I do not understand this. This product is awful! I bought a new straightener on Monday, to collect it from Argos on Tuesday. And Tuesday was the same day my order from Sephora was to arrive (this amika spray). I was excited because abbey yung on tiktok says it’s a good dry heat protectant. I waited until the spray arrived on Tuesday to give the hair straightener a go. It’s the same straightener my hair dresser uses . And oh my god. It was awful. I shaked it well, kept it a decent distant away from my hair , and it made me hair feel so greasy and wet !!! I don’t get why my hair was wet?! After my hair absorbed it, I went to straighten my hair and I could hear frying , then the product in my hair coated my new hair straightener !! Horrible !! I tried it today, 5 days after , washed my hair and decided to try it on damp hair, as it says you can use it on both damp and dry hair - it’s horrible ! It has coated my hair, my freshly washed hair is now greasy, looks and feels weird too Waste of money

GREAT FOR WAVY HAIR

I use this to add moisture and maintain frizz between hair wash days. It’s super lightweight, it absorbs very well and doesn’t leave any residue/cast. I have to respray it a couple times throughout the day though
