My favorite black eyeliner!

This is my absolute favorite black eyeliner. It is creamy, intensely pigmented, completely matte, and very easy to apply. Love it.

I don’t like that is messy. It do the work tho and it’s smooth as well.

Disappointed….. smudges !! Thought it would be good for waterline but NOPE !!

A definite no

I’ve bought a lot of gel liners over the years, trying to find something comparable to the Laura Mercier gel pot that was discontinued. This was a big disappointment, it’s goopy - it dries up in the pot quickly which is a first for me. Even new it is not smooth and has a thick consistency and “working” it doesn’t improve the situation. It ranks amongst the worst I’ve tried. I went through a 1/4 of it before I decided to toss it as it became unworkable, creating too thick of a line. So far everything I’ve bought from the Natasha Denona line has been a bust (eyeshadow palettes, blush, lipstick, this liner), just don’t understand why there’s so much exposure and what justifies the price points.

Not for me

I only use potted gel liner and have tried many brands' but while this one does have some pros, they're outweighed by the cons. The pros: this is an intensely pigmented matte black color that applies fully opaque from the start, no need to go back over bald spots. The cons: the formula is on the dry side so it doesn't glide on as smoothly as I'd like and it sets really fast, making adjustments difficult. It also doesn't build upon itself very well, often becoming thick and occasionally lifting to the point where I just had to remove it and start again if I made any mistakes during application or if my line/wing wasn't even. Unfortunately, this is one of my least favorite gel liners and I can't see myself reaching for it over others in my collection. **For reference, my favorites are from Illamaqua, MAC and Bobbi Brown. Really good drugstore options are from Maybelline and L.A. Girl.

Very creamy, thick, and pigmented. I am very pleased with the formulation.

Smudge city

This smudges like crazy. It does fade after 7 hours on me. I have hooded eyes so it definitely smudges on my crease. I like that it does when I’m going for a Smokey look, but otherwise I stick to my TF. Melt, or BB

I’m pleasantly surprised by how much I like this! I needed to purchase a new gel liner and thought this appeared to be a basic replacement. It allows you to work with it and then after it sets it’s set but easy to remove.

Obsessed

I got the entire new collection the day it launched from the Natasha Denona site and literally every single item is a home run. This is probably my favorite, the pigment is amazing (and the brush she launched to go with it on her site pairs so perfectly with it!) it glides on and stays put, literally budge proof. I’ve used it on my lid and waterline and it DOES NOT MOVE all day long. Absolutely amazing formula, highly recommend!
