Beautiful component and pan but not for me

The Anastasia Beverly Hills Iced Out Highlighter comes in stunning packaging—the white compact with rose gold accents feels luxe, and the embossed pan design is truly beautiful. However, the shade didn’t work for my skin tone. It pulls more gold than I expected and didn’t give the glowy, luminous effect I was hoping for. On me, it looked a bit flat and didn’t blend in naturally.

It's REALLY gold, just so you know.

I was looking for a pearl-like highlighter. Online, this looks like it would fit the bill; however, on me, it looked completely gold, like mermaid gold.

Takes forever to show up when dry

This takes forever to show up when applied dry. I mean 3 layers to get a “cute” highlight. I don’t want cute, I want blinding! Tried using different brushes or even my fingers and it still doesn’t give me the glow I want. If I wet the brush it’s another story: it does give a gorgeous golden highlight that you can actually see. However none of my other highlighters need to be wet to show up, and I am lazy with my makeup so doing that extra step to get this to show up… honestly it puts me off using it. It’s not a cheap highlight so I expected it to perform well in any circumstance, not only when applied with a wet brush. Shame because honestly this could have been amazing.

Liquid GOLD

Ok hear me out…this is liquid gold. All of my friends always ask to use my “special gold highlighter” whenever we get ready together. It’s not only good on fair and warm skin tones, but also on face paint colors (pink face paint, see image!) I used this for Halloween to give some highlight not expecting it to show, but it came out perfect! I love this product so much, I use it for my everyday makeup looks and glam looks.

This product is like putting sheer diamonds on your face. There is nothing subtle about it. Go easy if it’s your first one on the face. I think it would look really pretty on the collar bone too. If diamonds on the skin is your thing….Then this is for you.

Holy Grail Highlighter

This is my FAVORITE highlighter. It adds the perfect amount of gold to your skin. I feel ethereal when I wear it. The compact is super nice and expensive feeling and has a mirror inside.
